Phone Calls/After Hours Emergencies
We gladly accept phone calls throughout the day to answer any of your routine or emergency questions. For routine problems, the receptionist will take your number and a doctor will ALWAYS call you back by the end of the morning or afternoon sessions.
We are available 24 hours a day for emergencies. If an emergency arises after normal office hours, please call our office telephone number and our answering service will have the doctor-on-call paged. Most calls are returned within 30 minutes. In the event that we do not get back to you within 30 minutes, please try paging us again.
For after hours urgent care, we recommend PM Pediatrics located in Mamaroneck, NY.
If emergency room care is needed, we will advise that you go directly to White Plains Hospital Medical Center or the nearest medical facility if the severity warrants.
NOTE: An attempt should be made to call the covering doctor first with any emergency situation. We are only on staff at White Plains Hospital Medical Center. When you arrive there, let them know that your child is a patient of Westchester Park Pediatrics so that they can notify us that you have arrived and are being treated.
