Westchester Park Pediatrics prides itself in helping to make your experience a pleasant one. Our doctors and staff are highly qualified and well trained. You are greeted at our front desk by a warm and friendly reception staff. There are three certified medical assistants, who are all highly professional and have received pediatric training. They are extremely competent drawing blood on infants and young children, which is comforting to both the patients and their caregivers. For your billing needs or inquiries, there are two full time professionals available to answer all of your questions.

It is our aim to have you and your children experience a warm, pleasant and calming environment when you are at our office. This begins as soon as you walk through the door and remains constant through the entire visit. Our goal is to have your children feel comfortable coming to our office for various needs, whether they are infants, toddlers, or adolescents.

Dr. Jody Ross attended Union College and St. Louis University School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric internship and residency training at Mt. Sinai Hospital in NYC. She is Board Certified in general pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Ross has been practicing pediatrics in Westchester County since 1986. She prides herself in the close, long term relationships she formulates with the patients and their families. She currently lives in Scarsdale with her husband and two children.

Dr. G. Patricia Avvocato was born in Colombia, grew up in Venezuela, and graduated from medical school from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Mexico. She completed her pediatric internship and residency training at Schneider Children’s Hospital in Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York. Dr. Avvocato is Board Certified in pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has been in private practice for more than 15 years in Westchester County with a special interest in Adolescent Medicine. She is fluent in Spanish, English and French. Dr. Avvocato lives in New Rochelle, NY with her husband and daughter Alexandra as well as her German Shepherd Layla.

Dr. Amy Eisenberg has been practicing general pediatrics in Westchester County for the last 13 years. She graduated from Brandeis University and then completed both medical school and pediatric residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. She is Board Certified in pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. As both a resident in the community and the district physician for Rye Neck Schools she enjoys being personally involved in the lives of her patients. Dr. Eisenberg’s particular area of interest is developmental pediatrics. She lives in Scarsdale with her husband and her two children Samantha and Julie.

Dr. Carol Wurzel has been living and practicing pediatrics in Westchester for over twenty years. She is a graduate of Mount Sinai Medical School and completed her residency and chief residency in pediatrics at Schneider Children’s Hospital of Long Island Jewish Medical Center. She also completed a fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Schneider Children’s Hospital. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In addition to extensive experience in all aspects of general pediatrics, she has worked for many years caring for special needs children in the outpatient setting. In addition to practicing pediatrics, Dr. Wurzel is active in many school and community organizations in Edgemont, where she and her family have lived for 21 years.
