Dermabond
We offer dermabond for the nonsurgical closure of superficial lacerations. This is a form of "skin glue" that does not require anesthesia or stitches. It is used at the discretion of the doctor at the time of the visit.
Ear Lavage
If your child is noted to have excessive cerumen (ear wax) in the ear canals by one of our physicians or a medical specialist, the medical assistants are trained to perform ear lavage. This is done with an easy and painless irrigation system. This procedure is covered by most insurance carriers if deemed medically necessary.
Ear Piercing
Ear piercing with Bloomdahl sterile medical system is available starting at age 2 months (after the first set of vaccinations). The cost of this service is not covered by insurance carriers and a fee will be incurred.
Wart Removal
We offer "histofreeze" for removal of warts. This can be used for simple warts, plantar warts and molluscum contagiosum. It is a simple topical procedure which freezes the wart. In most instances, more than one treatment is required.
